Where can I buy one of those retractable boat dollys for an inflatable? When the 12.4 foot aquamarine is fully assemble w/floor it's a little cumbersome for me to move on my own and my 5 year old son isn't much help.

I'd like to buy one today, so I can put an end to the "When are we gonna go sailing Daaaaaddddyyyyyy!"???

WestMarine?

Any other stores around Nanaimo, Courtney, Qualicum, Parksville? That carry these?

Something similar, or any other ideas???

I would think any of the marine places in those cities would have them...

Most them will order it, but don't have anything in stock. I found one at http://www.inflataboats.ca so will go and pick it up today in Nanaimo. Expensive though, $225.00

I thought I saw these things at crappy tire, but can't find it on the website and can't get through to one of their 15 year old customer service reps.

Why don't you make one? At the price that they are asking for the one pictured, I think very good one could be built for a margin of that cost..

At my hourly rate it's not economical for me to spend the time to build it, I think I'd actually be losing money! Pre-fab is for me :)

I had a buddy that I did some painting for and he traded me some welding in exchange. So I got him to make me up a set of these wheels. I paid $30 for the tires and that was it. The brackets that bolt to the transom are aluminum and the rest is Stainless.

Have you got a picture of them in use, or in place on boat, I have access to steel and have gas and Arc and access to MIG, so I would not mind doing that for a boat I am getting, am also going to fabricate a rack to carry boat on truck while towing a fifth wheel, so if you have pics of it installed, that would be great.

I actually just had them made up a few days ago and haven't had a change to mount them yet. When I do I will post some pics up. Probably this weekend i will get em on the boat.

Shooter,

What welding shop does your buddy work at...? I'll get them to make me a set... I was a 2nd year sheet metal apprentice, just don't have the shop setup I used to have access to.

Where did you buy the tires?

Aquamarine has an EBAY store and I have seen them on sale there a few times. Just looked and the tires are selling for $28, mind you that is with 3 days left so who knows what it will go up too.
