My Son With His 2nd Bison!
My 13 year old son was fortunate to get his second LEH draw for a bison. His first was when he was 11. He got a bison that year as well.

Being a junior hunter myself I'm wondering how SON was able to get a LEH. I thought I was only able to hunt on my Dad's tags until my 16th birthday when I will recieve my BC Hunting Number.

you can get a BC hunters # at any age and apply for LEH draws as long as you've completed the CORE

Thanks, I was told that I could take my PAL now but wouldn't recieve it until my 18th birthday and the same for the CORE which I would get when I turned 14.

You can write the CORE as early as 10 years old and get your hunter number and licenses then.

"When a BC resident who is 10 years
of age or older completes CORE, he or
she is entitled to a BC Resident Hunter
Number Card, and to have a bag limit
of his or her own, to purchase a hunting
licence, and to enter the limited entry
hunting draw."

Yup, right out of the hunting regs.
