working in invermere for couple weeks and would like to cast a line on an evening or two. no boat two wheel drive access. any pointers are appreciated.

If you have the time, take a drive up through Radium towards Banff. Just after the summit, look for Settlers Road. Follow it down towards the Kootenay River. You can take the Cross road and try that river or take the Palliser and drive down that road untill you hit the Palliser River. If you want, you can try fishing the Kootenay, just make sure you are out of the Park or you will need a park License.

Skookumchuk River is pretty good (classified license required).

lots of white fish in toby creek. and suckers squawfish and some big bass right from the dock at the marina just when your coming into town. 17 years ago don't know if any of this is still valid.
