Just wondering if any of you sheep gurus have taken a sheep out of churn creek before? Its beautiful country and I know they live there in the winter months. All I have seen is 3/4 curl rams. how have you guys done?

My dad has been hunting that area for a good 25+ years. just for mulies though. he has seen some monster sheep but has let them be becuase A. he didn't have a tag and B. he would have not been able to retrieve them. (no i will not tell you where LOL)

I put some time in chasing sheep in churn cr, never found a shooter but alot of 3/4 curl. Even the outfitter hadn't found a legal ram that year!

I ran into the "World famous" Bart Lancaster and his crew, just below blackwater lake,2 years ago now.He had spotted a few "good ones" and was on his way down with a few clients to have a look.As with the other posts, never seen anything "legal" as per the Oct regs. They are there though, just never pursued them.

They are there alright..once ya get to know some of the cali 'requirements" and the "legacy" of past biologists and how they changed the local sheeps patterns and behavior..
