Hey guys,
I got a draw for a cow/calf elk in 4-06 from Nov. 1-30th.

I have never hunted elk and do not know the Creston area. I talked to a few ppl and know that there is a lot of private land and that it can be a challenging area to hunt. Is there a specific area that you would recommend going to? Also, is there anyone who has farm land/private land who would be willing to allow hunting on their land?
Is mid-November a good time to hunt for cow/calf elk? Are the odds of getting an elk during this time quite good?
Also, where would be the best place to set up shop with a trailer?
