How far off the ground do you normaly hang your cam and how far from the trail or water hole? Just got a new one but never used one.

This one was only 3 ft off the ground and 7-10 ft from the hole. There was no better spot so i had to settle for that one. Last year I had it about 3 ft off the ground and 10-14 ft from the focal point i wanted and it worked out great.

There's some nice animals pics, Elkaholic. I have a question though where usually do you go looking for a wallow? Near swamps or running water? Or does a fellow just accidentally stumble on one?

Well in the area I am hunting my dad and his friend have been hunting it for 20 years so they have just stumbled upon them. I also have found 2 myself and I just happen upon them. So I am not sure if there is a technique.

No I find too many people know that wallow so I dont feel secure putting it there. It is in the same general area though, just a mountain over.
