Drove up to 3:15 to explore some area I had been looking at on maps and google earth and get some exercise. I picked out a lake to hike up to that looked do able. I assumed the sub alpine lake would freeze every year and hold no fish, so I was quite disappointed at my lack of fly rod when I got to the top and was greeted by jumping fish, doh! Here are some pics.

Lots of sign, but I didn't see anything but grouse and fish jumping.

Or as others would - bring a rod, and they aren't biting.
My favorite - bring a rod and see game, bring a gun and see fish.
Oh ya, did I mention nice pics & scenery?

Awsome pics, it's what makes this province such a beautiful place to call home. Looks like a perfect sized lake to belly boat in.
