Just drew goat tag for north of Nakusp (4-31A). anyone been to that area? heading in for opening day to do a week of scouting, but some pointers would help.

Kuskanax...Back End...just before Rogers Creek...Thanksgiving Weekend...North Side of Kusky..Big Bowl..Long Hike, Big Billies....

thanks. if I ever get off fires I'll be spending my fall in there. what else is running around? I'll be packing the prerequisite Goat, and Bear tags, any decent deer in the area?

I am off to the Terrace Mountain Fire in the Morning for a 14 day shift working as Fire Behaviour Specialist with teh California Type 1 team, so it will be 14 days or more till you guys read one of my drunken rants !!!!!!!

Shot a goat in there a few years ago in november, spotted from the truck in the early afternoon and had him down whole before dark. He took a bit of a fall :roll: but made a nice skin to hang from the balcony.
When the rut kicks in they are quite accessable it there, saw a few small mule bucks as well.
