alright boys opening day is a coming quick. where do all you guys think the best place to go opening day out of regions 2,3,8?

What are you hunting? If its blacktails, I would say region 2. If its sheep I would say reion 3. If its elk I would say region 8.

find the highest place to climb in reigon 8 there is a mountail there i've hunted for years. My dad and i have a topo map full of x's where our group has shot 4pt plus bucks.... and it tends to be dryer there, makes campin easier

Here's my two cents

Find the closest area to you that holds deer. Drive to the highest point you can get. Get out and hike for as long as the day allows. If there are no deer, look for the next highest peak to your left or right. Go hike over there.

If you didn't shoot a deer, be thankfull that you chose an area close to your house because you need to go there again and again until you find the deer and shoot one.
