was up there 2 years ago on the early season draw. put alot of miles on with nothing to show for it. Verry little sighn of any kind. No deer in 3 days and only one set of moose tracks that maby were a few days old.
saw 2 big blackbears and one grizz. Lots of yotes. lots of grouse.

From what i heard and saw its seems getting into the high mountains in the park at the north end of 5-12 was the way to go but it requires horses as the park roads are not open and quads are not allowed.

If i had to do it again is spend less time driving around learning the country and more time studying google earth to find ponds and swamps away from the roads. Then hiking into them and glassing and calling the best i could.

Bring a fishing rod as the rivers to and from the lakes hold dollys and rainbows in abundance. Only good time i had in 5-12

Trip wasent a total loss as we got a 3x4 mulie just out of williams lake on out way home.

We've hunted moose in 5-12 successfully on horseback in the no motorized vehicles areas. Don't know much about other areas.
