Nice, you find more of those bigger fish the further north you get. I have found a few that size in the Pine though. These fish were really pale coloured.

Great Pics Kris,

I love Grayling fishing, one of my favorite little fish to catch... If you ever get the time, drive up the Nahanni Range rd, out of watson lake. The little hyland river, is an amazing waterway, chalk full of good sized grayling. We drove up there for a summer trip and it was awesome. We didn't see another soul for days.

If you take a run up the AK highway ever, I'll let you in on a secret little grayling hole you'll want to go back to again and again!

Looks like a wicked day there Kris. I went out to the crooked with a buddy today, and the little bows were all over my hopper flies. I need another month of summer to get more fishing time in. As usual, very cool pics.

Cool pics, looks like a lot of fun. You truck is almost as sexy as mine, except mine has balder tires.

Do they take dries hard? Did you try nymphing them?

The only time I've fished nymphs for grayling is when we had to, to vary our sampling effort for work. All my grayling fishing happens with dries. They're just so easy to catch.

If you saw my front tires, you might not say that. She gets the job done, at half the fuel price of everyone else.

Hmm, a free Sunday and the potential of some good fishing. What to do...

Well presented PGK!

You just convinced me to make sure I throw the flyrod in the truck for our trek north. Never fished for Grayling...but it has always been on my list of things to do.
Let's hope we tag out with a few days left on our trip and have some slower-paced fun on our trip home:smile:.

PS-You're a hazard on the road with that window. Don't be so cheap and get a new one:wink:.
