One more week and its time to hit the hills.Who's heading in for opening day

Having hunted opening day for a few seasons, we opt to go a little later and avoid the opening week zoo. :)

i'm taking my 13 yr old son to dease lk to hopfully get his goat,we leave on wednesday and fly in on the 31st. (i have a mtn gt tag as well) so hopefully two goats get to go for a ride in the truck..

Where abouts near Dease you going? I remember way back you just spot goats off the highway at the Cottonwood River.

I hope you get there around the 27th or 28th! I've seen as many as 8 trucks all trying to park so guys could hike up the same drainage. That is too crowded for me!

Well my partner at the last min booked us a fly in for goats ,So looks like I will be chasing goats on the 4th

Be on the mountain on the 30th, time for a relaxing backpack hunt for stones.... It will have to be a 170" ram or bust.... The Swede is coming with me...

Not going till sept 24...we found last year that sheep hunting was better later...way less people and the rams were coming down...

Most likely the "Swede" will be praying for rain. He likes that extra time in a tent to bond:shock:.
