A couple of hunters took 2 cats in this area. Not large from what I've heard. May have been mother and sub-adult. I think they were on to another as they were running 4 hounds and 2 returned after not so long after. The other 2 showed up much later, much the worse for wear and tear. A local vet collected a hefty chunk of change for the sewing job he performed on one of the dogs. The story is that these 2 did not have the penchant for baying and the cat decided to make a stand and pretty much clobbered this dog. I guess the adage here is, they stay if they don't bay!

We were able to put these cats up the tree! they were females,I would like to get a tom for my first cat.mmm outstanding moments that would be yesterday,we let 11 dogs go at 8 am on a real big track and ended up with a real big wreck! One of the younger dogs got on to a different track and somehow pulled all the other hounds off the big track! We had hounds running everywhere. As for the weather there was about 6 inches of old snow with tracks all over the place wich made it hard to tell what was the fresher tracks. While we were in a good chase on saturday I had a chance to take a last day buck but I passed on him as I wanted the cat we were chasing. Not to mention that it was a long way in the bush.
