I got my second choice draw for this area ,just wondering what acess is like down there as I am not too familar with this area??

You have a good area lots of goats but steep country be prepared physically good luck

Access is good to most of it, definatly not as many goats in there as there use to be but still a few left. I know lots of people with that draw this year, I would suggest hunting in november.
Success rates are only 5% based on the number of authorizations issued, but is about 20% for those who actually work at it, but be prepared for some hard work. Bayou is right, the numbers of permits offered is based on a population estimate of 160 which is suspect in my mind also.

I think if you cut the estimate number of 160 in half you would still be high for this zone.
Laurence good luck on your hunt do you have a rough idea when your heading there, might know where some will be, but like I said would suggest last half of november.

I was thinking we would hit it somewhere around the opening ,for a few days.It should be cooler on the mountain than it is here .lol
