I’ve never posted on this site before, but I had a question I couldn’t find an answer to.
I managed to get myself a LEH tag in Zone X of 4-22 for cow/calf elk. I went for a drive today to check the area out as I’ve never hunted ther area before. I’ve spend most of my time up the St. Marys Valley and east of Whiteswan Lake. I checked out the area along Wardner-Fort Steel Rd down to Bull River and then north from Galloway along Galloway/Bull River FSR. By the time I was done my eyes were sore from reading “NO TRESPASSING”/”NO HUNTING” signs. I’m just wondering if anyone knows of any decent crown land areas around there. Or should a guy just chat up some land owners and try and get on private land?

BTW most of that 'gimme hunt' looking land is owned by one family 4500 acres of it at the bottom of the steeples and siding on the bull.. and they have plenty of friends willing to go hunt there ..
they call it 'lost creek' for the bc record book but thats right where it is, good old lost creek bc. I'll post some pics from the far side of those signs in my gallery.

Sorry Ddog I can't think of any jokes off of the top of my head. But this picture is pretty funny (I hope I attached it right).
