A Documentary on Stone's Sheep is starting on Animal Planet at 9pm. If you have bell expressvu or starchoice, I believe it's free until August 4th.

My daughter told me today that she's taping it for me.

Didn't have the heart to tell her that I've seen it before a couple of times. Good show but will be even more enjoyable watching it with her:cool:.

I've seen it a few times too... They must have kept all the big ram footage for themselves :)

Guy who did the film is Monty Bassett from Smithers. You could try him, might be able to get a copy.

847-5605 is Monty's #. If you talk to him, see about getting a copy of his "Life on the Vertical" which is about the goats in the Stikine Canyon. It has some awesome footage as well!

Wow, that country makes a person feel insignificant and the story makes me feel ashamed to be a associated with the destructive nature we possess as humans. Thanks for sharing.

Skipped through it...too much eco terrorist indian propaganda for my liking...

I got a kick out of the National Geographic guy saying he climbed into a wolf den in a storm and next thing there was wolves all around him....smoke another one budy...

His video on the stikine canyon goats is worth watching as said years ago in this thread. You can find it on the same page. Some real good footage.

This new vid is 'Written in Stone' , not to be confused with the older 'Sheep of Stone'
Only uploaded March 2014 . The video has info on the dna mapping project that is currently going on , and soon may expand to Alaska and the NWT

Glad to see it uploaded to where it can be viewed by a larger audience
Imperial Minerals is running full speed ahead though , and the area between Red Chris and the wildlife sanctuary is open to exploration work .
Davis nor Bassett nor the Tahltan Klabona Keepers could stand in the way
