Guided Pheasant hunting ??

I was told there is an area up in Armstrong and one in lower Nicola that provide pheasant hunts. Does anyone know about about this ?? Contacts ? info ?

Balmead is closed according to their web site. One of the owners passed away earlier this year.

There is guided pheasant hunting near Cranbrook at the 3 Bars Ranch, Not sure if Douglas Lake ranch offers guided hunting, but I think they still do pheasant releases.

Also the River View ranch near Quesnel used to offer released birds.

I looked into the Cranbrook hunt and it is quite pricey as they only appear to offer "package deals" and only release 5 birds per hunter. I know there is one by Merritt but I can't find a contact.

I spoke with them at 3 bars and they are quite willing to "adjust" packages to include just day hunts, or more birds. Their prices are about the same as Balmead charged, around $30 per bird, without a guide or dog.

A bit pricey, but sure a lot of fun.

Thanks I will look into this. My Dad is 74 years old and he wants to do it with me. As it gets harder for him to hunt this is a great idea of his.
