I was drawn for the October 1-10 antlerless elk for MU 4-22. I was wondering if anybody knows what # to call to get placed with ranchers having elk problems? Thanks!

PM me and I have a road for you. Use a single diaprahm call.

I got one in 4-20x, but I bow hunted in 4-22 last season. Saw tons of elk, didn't kill one though as I am new to bow hunting. Watch out in there though, I came face to face with a big ol' kitty.

I got a similar draw (Cow/calf elk, 4-22X Sept 21-30). I've never hunted elk before and I'm curious about your suggestion to use a call - do cows come to a call too? I was under the impression calling was all about the bulls.

a single diaphram works well, its a soft call that mimics a younger cow or calf and as we all know elk are a herd animal. I found in the past that calling lightly they will come to see where that lost cow is.
