They are like rats, I am pretty sure they are everywhere in BC. I saw one in June 1km up the road from where the Toll Booth used to be on the Coq. I had to take a second look because I thought I was seeing things. A lone doe eating away with a tail that looked like a drape hanging out back.

Yup, good population of whiteys in there. I've actually seen some pretty dang nice bucks in the Scotch Creek area. But....who really cares about 150 class dinky dog rat deer. ;)

As a whitetail fanatic it pleases me immensely to see more and more of them each year all over the region. :-)

your not joking about them being everywhere in bc.
4 years ago while on a fishing trip to salmon king lodge in rivers inlet my buddy and i saw a 4 point whitetail buck on a little island thats only 500 yrds long and 100 yards wide.we spotted him bedded down at first so we turned the boat around to get a closer look and take some pics,as we got about 50 yrds away from him and he stood up exposeing the fact that he was indeed a whitetail.the island he was on was only about 250 yards from the mainland just around the corner from the lodge which is also known as good hope cannery.

Just domestic one's, and the signs are actually out to protect the farmers.

The real signs of the sheep and farmer with his velcro gloves are considered politically incorrect.

I was just at Tru Life Taxidermy today and he had a beautiful WT Buck dropped off yesterday that came out of the Shuswap area. My jaw dropped when I saw it.

I put up a WT Doe and Fawn last weekend around Shuswap area but didn't see any Bucks.

I lived up by Skimikin lake from 2010 to 2012, lots of Mulies there and we had whitetails in our field too, saw WT down by the wineries and the fuse plant and various farmers fields in Tappen, saw them in Sunnybrae in a few spots, seen them on the highway at night or early morning by Pierres Point, seen them in the field/airstrip just past Sqwylax Bridge on the way to Scotch Creek, and also seen them just a few cliks before Scotch. Yep, there is Whitetail in the Shuswap.

Glad to see there still around.
Last I heard they had died off, or were in the process of that happening, with few around.
Nice

As per my previous post, we lived in Skimikin. In 2010 I saw sheep up on the bluffs above our property, but never saw them the two years following. Not all that far from Chase really.

They are all over the Shu at lower elevation. Seymour Arm is apparently overrun with WT the last few years. Some real showpieces have come off the reserve in the vicinity of the Adams. I wouldn't be able to say what time of day they were shot, but they were big.

A bit of a swim for them to get over there unless a couple happen to hitch a free ride on the Ferry.
