Because of my working schedule, I haven't been able to check out "Hardcore Archery" in Kelowna yet, but I did send an E-mail to Apa Innovations Inc. asking what speed I should expect from both the Mamba and the Viper set at 70# with 28" draw, using a 400 grain arrow. Michelle's answer was, 295 fps from the Mamba, and 270 fps from the viper. Naturally, these numbers would vary depending on type and length of arrow, type and length of vanes, as well as what was on the bow string, etc. Can anyone collabrate these figures?

those are pretty accurate numbers ...if anything they are a bit on the conservative side

Best I can do with a 373 grain arrow out of my 08 Boa set at 72lbs and 29 inch draw and 28 inch shaft 3 inch duravane fletch 2 degree offset is 296 fps.. IBO is 328..
Seems like those estimates are pretty close..

My black mamba X2 is 70# 30" and IBO of 340, with a 400 gr arrow I"m getting 311fps. The birthcertificate on this bow was slighly under the IBO rating it was more like 334 or 338fps

I have a Viper and get ~250 fps with a 28" DL @ 60# w/ a 420 grain arrow. I get 290 fps with a 300 grain arrow. It's not a speed demon, but it is a real pleasure to shoot...I would get another in a heartbeat.
