Mik, maybe go to the river and watch, I did. The traffic is obvious, and techniques vary.

chrome ? ha ha that all fell off a couple of hundred kms ago ....
they are pretty black by the time they get up here , bonus is you dont have to scale them .... the red springs are still ok eating though ....

Spent the day on the River yesterday at the Lumby end.....

Not much action yet....

Saw one fish that was taken just down river from us.

A little too warm I think...
