here are some trail cam pics from cameras i bought off this site. I am wondering if some of you can help identify if the bear is very large? is it a black bear or grizzly? Is that a coyote or wolf? http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee306/heydino/IM000014.jpg

my guess on the bear is a very good sized blackie ,pretty narrow nose from what i can tell and that looks more like a shoulder blade then a hump on his bac.as for the dog its a coyote with pointy ears and snout and the black tuff at the end of his tail is very coyote like

Thanks for the pics. I am heading to my cabin at Hatheume Lake to fish and set up my pair of trailcams. Any advice? How long will my battery life be?

the cameras are scoutguard. I had three set up for about three weeks, they still had lots of battery life left. They took about 1500 pics. each cam can take about 1200 at 5 mp setting with a 2 gig card. I have been chasing a mature buck in this area that i missed last year, I didnt get him yet but I did get lots of pics of other deer. the next time I set up it will be in some thick cover in a creek draw that I keep seeing large tracks in. I usually rake the dirt and every time I check theres the same large tracks, Im not expecting many pics because I think this guy is a loner buck in his area. I have had a problem with the deer and bears rubbing up against the cams and knocking them out of place so setting up the camera is a bit of a learning curve also if its windy and if the cam is set on high sensitivity it takes lots of false pics. This is something you can do all year long. I love it.

I like the close up of the "spike" mulie.
How much did your cams cost, where did you get them, and do they have I.R. flash ?

they cost around 250 and I bought them off the guy that advertises on this site. Im going to buy another three he sells them cheaper if you buy more than one.
