The Elk River is loaded with rainbows right now. Was up there yesterday, great action. They are not huge by any means but a 3-4 wt fly rod gives good action. I found red yarn with a bit of orange the key, and a small split shot to get it down.
The Elk is fly fishing only, catch and release only, but can make for a fun day of splashing around.
