I've finally figured out how post pics so now I'll put up a story.

I've been taking two good friends out for the last 2 years trying to get them a bear, but something allways goes wrong and I usually end up getting my bear by myself. Finally it went right kind of. After a long evening of driving and walking not seeing anything or finding our areas logged etc... I decided to check out one last area it was getting overgrown but has allways been good to me. So me and the bother inlaw hike down this little overgrown trail while our buddy Mike heads down another way. We get in and climb a little hill to where the clearing is, just as we get to edge I see a bear off to my left. I tell my brother inlaw "bear shoot" He doesn't feel ready so I get the go ahead. One shot from the Ruger #1 .338 mag and he hits the ground. I shot it through both shoulders to keep him from going over the bank and having a nightmare retrieve, so one more to finish him was quickly sent on its way. This was a beauty of a bear. We ended up with over 200 lbs of deboned meat (luckily there wasn't to much damage from the shoulder shot). It was all the three of us could do to get him in the truck (this is the downfall of lifted trucks). The upside is being able to drive right to the bear to load it. It squares 6' 6.5" it was 6' 4" nose to tail with the skull in and 6' 9" across the front paws this was not a streached measurement just shook out laid down.

This bear has a huge head and the thickest neck I've ever seen on a bear.

Just had see if it would work for in the living room.

LOL...I got out once.....this last weekend. Saw 4 bears....included a mom and cub. The other 2 were running full tilt.....I think Steeleco spoiled them for all other hunters.
