Finally got my bear :) Been out quite a few times this spring, but havn't been able to connect with one. Went out on Friday the 29th and seen a bear but it was scared into the bush before I really had a good look at it. Went back out to the same spot the next night and it was at the far end of the same road. I think it was the same bear. Stalked for about 500 yards along the ditch while I was being mauled by clouds of mosquito's. Got to about 80 yards and layed down and set up on a little high spot on the road. The bear turned broadside and a 180gr dropped it in its tracks. Not the biggest bear but it's hanging in the cooler until tomorrow night to get chopped up, should be a good eater. The brown nose is pretty cool I think :)

Your first big game animal, congratulations :) What are you planning to do with the meat? (sausage, ground roasts etc)

Good job on getting your first big game animal. I still remember my first deer almost 30 years ago.

Congrats! If there is such a thing as a good eating bear that is likely one of them. Nice work on the cowboy boots too, classic:lol:
