Well i caught my first rainbow of the year and it weighed in at 3 pounds. Missed a nice sized one earlier and waited another 3 hours before this one hit.

Thanx guys. I go down 20 ft with a down rigger and troll with a flasher and Apex lure. I just love the thrill when a fish hits when you're down rigging.
Jeeezus. I just realized that the pic makes my belly look like Randys from Trailer Park Boys.

Tell Mr. Leighhee he takes good pics!

Nice bow....which reminds me it's almost past time to pound the creek mouths. Run-off is a solid three weeks behind this year but I may have missed the window of good ck mouth fishing....again this year.

I have seen trick photography on how to make a fish look big, but, you have shown us how to capture it's beauty as well.

Thanx Hotload. I figured it might of looked even better if i didn't have my big, hairy gut as a backdrop lol. I see you're from Kelowna. I caught this guy at Sun Oka beach in Trout Creek so i'm sure you know where that is. My boss at work told me his friend nailed a 10 pounder there 3 weeks ago right by the old lighthouse that sits on the point.

did you by chance live in cranbrook about 10-15 years ago?? nice fish by the way, gotta love when they hit.... one thing i've figured out about fishing, the thrill of having one hit is always awesome, you never get tired of it and it's as exciting still as the first fish you ever caught!!!
