well after spending a whole week up in pemberton, and not seeing one shooter, I decided to bring the girlfriend back up to camp for two days. so with not that much time, we set out in the eavning around 530 or 6 to my new found spot. we saw nothing for the first hour and a bit, but then the forest seemed to come alive with bears. the first one looked like a nice shooter and it was a light brown color phase. we watched it come in and once it was close enough I was able to see the large bump on its back, and realize that I was lookin at my first grizz. He ate for about half an hour, and then walked off. It was starting to get dark so we decided to walk back to the truck. on our way we spotted a nice size bear, but he had seen us first, and was crashin through the bushes within seconds. after following that one for a few minutes, I look over my shoulder and see another good size black bear. this time he hasent seen us and is munching away with his head down. Me and Jenn slowly sneak up on him till about 60 yards, and and then I tell jenn to take the shot. she rases my 3030 which I let her use since she got her licence, and I raise my 30-06 as a back up. this bear is not getting away. she shoots just over, and the bear pauses for a second, just long enough for me to line up on him and put one through the boiler maker. he made it about 75 yards and droped dead.
heres the photos of the grizz and of my bear.
if someone could load them properly that would be appreciated.

It almost looks like a grizz with that hump on the back, in the feeding picture. Congrats!
