Got a pair of Vortex binos finally. Everyone had them on backorder forever. I ordered mine March 9th and just got them today. ($250 CAD shipped to my door)
Played around the house with them and they are quite nice. Solid built and ergonomics and VERY bright :) :) :)

Looking forward to testing them in the field. These are the 10x42 DIAMONDBACK model. Come with a nice comfy neck strap and a very nice semi-hard (molded?) carry case. Eye cups twist up and actually stay that way. Very easy to adjust with just your index finger and i totally dig the large field of view :)
Ive got the Vipers in 10x42 and really like them.

I've been recommending and spouting off about Vortex for a long time now. Glad to see you're pleased with them.

I ordered a Votex scope from one of our sponsors - Grouse River Outfitters - had it within the week. I emailed and thanked them for speedy service and they sent me a 10% coupon.
Gotta love love it!

everywhere i checked it was on back order at the time i ordered. I ordered from efston science (www.escience.ca) and turned out they were ALSO on back order there, so i just said whatever and waited....
A very good pair of binos, i'll post up some more pics of the case it comes with and things like that tonight so you can see.

27O - did you try Grouse River Outfitters? They've got a good sized inventory.

Yes, and they were over priced in my opinion. They say free shipping on orders over $200, but no wonder when you've got a $65 markup over competition ($279.99 versus $214.99).... and since i decided to order online, i figured i'll do it out of province and also save myself the PST while i'm at it.
had i known i was going to wait for two months, i would have just placed an order with a local dealer. Apparently they had a manufacturing delay, and only now are dealers starting to get the 2009 items in stock.
