Well after weeks of trying to find an accessible area in the zone i have a grizz draw in i finally was able to push into a valley i had been trying to get into for weeks. We got in in the morning and spent the day in gorgeous country.

We spent the day glassing the hillsides and walking into other spots but didn't see any grizzlies. The area is open but not very green yet. Hoping to get back there at least a few times before June 15 and if i do i will still have a great bear season because of the country i can get into and spend time.

Was able to get one of my hunting partners his first bear ever though. Only bear we saw where we were hunting that day. Nothing too huge but a good first bear. No pics of the bear :-( they are all on his camera. They sure do have nice hides still. Thick and deep. Gonna make a sweet throw or something.

Maybe in 7-22, or 7-19?, or 7-23? Sukunka area? Back end of the Table River?

I worked in that valley a bit last fall, you should be able to find a bear there. See any goats? I was able to drive my truck into those blocks high up on the mountain in the last picture. If you can access that road (which you did at least part of it as that is where your first photo is taken from) , there is an awesome looking valley full of slides less than 1km off the road. It can be accessed once you go around a hairpin turn over the creek. Check it out on google earth!

I know the spot of which you are talking, but there is still a little too much snow there to access it. Hopefully this weekend. The valley is in 7-05, and no i did not see any goats in there this time. There is a number of decent spots in there and i will just have to be in the right spot at the right time to take advantage......

I think this defines ALL hunting!

I've only recently been able access my zone as well, so now I am just hoping to be in the right place at the right time. I've seen 30 blackies this spring already and 4 grizzlies (sow with three cubs) so it's just a matter of time before I can connect.

I bet that you could, but you have a slight advantage over some of the other people

I am definately going to be somewhere this weekend. I'll have to try for more pics, hopefully one with a bear in it!
