well don't know about other bear hunters out there but putting on a few hundred kms in the past few weekends it's bin tough to find shooters.
i've seen quite a few bears but an awful lot of young ones and amazing on how many sows with cubs wether they're blacks or grizz.
what i have noticed lately is that it is very dry in the valley bottoms and there is still a fair bit of snow not very high up. anything in between has barely started to green up. so you would think the bears would have to be out all day but i've found that not to be the case.
i'm wondering if other hunters are having a tough time seeing bears in the okanagan? it's still great to be out there and see other wildlife
so i've resorted to keep picking up the camera instead of the gun.
here are a few pics that i've bin fortunate to capture on the other side of hunting

I think that where you see a lot of bears you wont see the big boars, they tend to be quite solitary and by themselves. Where as Sow's tend to be more tolerant of having other sows close by with their young.

The next couple of weeks should have the big boys doing their rounds looking for the ladies.

Great photos....I find I shoot more wildlife with my camera than anything else. Mind you, I can see my skill level isn't quite at your level yet!;)

Nice pics. Who said "bears don't grow on trees" very cute. Give 'em a few years and they'll be very tasty.

Lots of hunters can find what would be good photos of animals in the course of a season or just their time in the bush, but, you have done a whole lot more than snap a couple of photos, those are real nice pics and not all the the credit goes to the camera, any camera can be as good as one wants to pay. You have an eye for what makes a nice photo. Good Work.
