Great looking bear...love the claws on it! That's a dream distance to nail a grizz from...I wish we could get that far away from one!! ;)
No one else seems to want to take a stab at the size so I'll be the first to bite...I'm saying 7'6".

That's a good ol' boar. Great hunt with lots of romance! I've been told that they don't get much over 7' in the Kootenays so . . . I will go big and square him at 7' 1". Long, lanky and lacking mass is the theme this spring!

Well, I'll make a guess. I'm thinking it is closer to eight than seven across the paws and over seven nose to tail so.....I'll take 7'4" squared.
Awsome bear regardess, well done.

Great looking bear, and congrats to your buddy! Nice long claws and very white still. I was told one time that their claws are almost white when they wake up and that it doesn't take too long for them to lose most of the whiteness once they are up and moving around. If there is any truth to that, then you are probably right, he is fresh out of his den.

Great bear! Did they have to skin him in that crevice or were they able to heave him out first? I bet that was a chore if they did.

not sure.. he had a guest book there and we were the first ones in there this spring... nice spot hes got though and hes set up really nice

He had a draw in there as well. Haven't heard how he made out.

You probably saw our names in that book as well. Nice country especially at the back end where it turns into sorcerer.

Guys run into many elk?

Just wondering around in the bush one day, stumbled across it.

Buddy who lives in Revelbush told us. Actually went by it looking for a way to cross the river. First time ended up going way past the cabin in 10 ft of snow in a stand of pecker poles with the misery slippers on and crossed on an ice bridge. Found the cabin on the way back - the logs to cross the river made a big difference.

Hummm storys has it that you spotted it on a low flyby with the 727 "helpmelater" airplane
