First Grizzly bear

Well let me start by thanking Srupp and Ike for providing me with great intell. It made all the difference. Ok so we left Sunday It was a good drive up to bella coola we ran out of gass out side Cache Creek oh well the dogs needed to stretch but we saw a wolf and two grizzly bears i was pumped anyways we arrive before dark set up goto bed. Day 1 we see a white tail, mule deer and couple of black bear my dad takes a blackie late in the day. Day 2 look for some goats in the morning no luck around 1pm my dad stays in camp and tends to the bear i go for a cruse and about half hour later i spot a bear on a slide ok another blackie take a closer look oh a cinnamon bear closer look GRIZZLY bear now im nervous dont miss im thinking, i wait as long as i can, shoot bear it drops (180 grain 300 wmag) alright im about to check him out and the bear gets up and hobbles to the thick stuff, im not going in there alone im thinking so off to camp i go "dad I got a monster" my dads like "no i didnt hear anything" anyways we wait an hour and off we go we search about an hour and a half no luck we take a break let the dogs go for a piss and yeah dog finds the bear I was off by 100 some odd feet and the bear was smaller than i thought oh well it was awsome.:-D Pics to follow my dad has chip.

Its always an eeerie feeling to go after a wounded bear, especially a Grizzly. Congrats on the kill, looking fwd to the pics.

start a photobucket account and then post them there. That way they dont have to be resized and then just post the links to them here. Keeps the site running smoother also. Congrats on the bear! Good work.
