I don't know where this occurred and it really is not an accident, just a terrible case of not identifying your target. I received these pictures in an email with no story attached.

Guys don't do this.

Us bow hunters wont even shoot if there's a branch obstructing the lung area so what did this guy think it was that he was shooting at? That arrow is almost dead center of his head.

this is really old, close to 5 years ago when i first got this one, at that time the story had alcohol involved.
looks like its a 100grain thunderhead stuck in there.
My money is on the "bet ya i can shoot an apple off his head" theory.

Ouch, thats gunna leave a mark.

Years ago, heard of a head-shot hunter who had been wearing a camo ballcap, resting against a stump, and another poor-sighted hunter thought the movement was a grouse. Blam! with a .410

Hope he got the chunk of skull and arrowhead back.
Hang that from your rearview, and you'd be the coolest idiot in the trailer park.

This incident shows how important broadhead selection is for good penetration.

Would have been some different pics if he had used a Montec  I just look at it as survival of the fittest

Bubba's brain is either very small, or he's got more padding than it looks like.

Yeah, I wonder what the excuse for this one was...."I was cleaning it and it went off". I guess they put a plate in his noggin. Now evertime the Mrs. turns on the microwave he pisses his pants and can't remember his name for a half hour. (Man, I loved that line in Christmas Vacation) :-P

Was it a general open season tag or LEH, and did he survive the field dressing? Dumb ass.

Too bad it wasn't a mechanical......it probably wouldn't of opened, and if it did, it would quickly deflected away from harm:grin:

I bet this happened in a tine restricted area.
Probably a six point or better area.

What I can't believe is how long this thread has been up on this site:shock:.

This truly shows hows bad some idiots can be and has nothing to do with the members of this site.

It makes archers look bad period.

I don't think it makes archers look bad...

It makes that particular archer who shot that arrow look bad. It emphasizes the need to identify your target.

If you want me to delete this thread I will do it.

I see what you mean.

Just a knee jerk over reaction on my part:grin::oops:.

It has little to do with identifying your target. It's a perfect shot. Dead centre. The question I have, what kind of tag is required? Or is the shooter a poacher?

This pic is so old I had it stored on a 5 1/2 floppy disk and I've completely forgotten the story.

The moral of the story is, don't turn your back on your wife when you tell her you're going hunting 'again'.
