well went out this afternoon with my brother for a little putt on the quad and we were goin for about 3 hours, did a big loop in a area i know really well. we were gettin close to the truck around 4pm and there was one more road that we could go up..i went up it thismoring at first light by myself but didnt see anything in it. so i decided why go to the truck lets go up here and have a look... and sure as shit no more that a 400 yard drive into the road there he was 50 yards or so from the quad off to the left in the clear cut.. so i loaded up and he started to run so i went into the cut after him... spotted him again around 200 yards or runnin away and for some stupid reason he stopped and looked back at me and my brother so i let him have it with the TiKKA 300 Win Mag... we ended up havin to put 3 bullets in him to finally finish him and get him down.... but he measured out at 5 foot 10 inches after being caped out for my first bear thats gunna become a rug.... was just over 3 feet wide at the stomach...... he was a male and had one thick skull on him too :) im very very happy with him for my first bear..... tryin to figure out how to put pics on
