Yup, well done. Now everyone else follow suit and write Barry Penner the same type of letter. I know that I am. Rather than signing the bottom of someone elses I think it's better to write your own. It shows you have taken the time because you feel it's important enough to you as a voter. I once had a politician say they took letters seriously after they receive 50 or so. He said that every letter written represents about 100 people that just didn't bother but thought it was important as well. They take that stuff seriously. If we don't fight for it, we're gonna lose it.

Great job Gatehouse. Every hunter in BC should send letters to the editor whenever articles appear in the newspapers or in reaction to radio and TV broadcasts that malign hunting and hunters or as in this case infringe upon our rights and opportunities. People and politicians need to know that hunters in this province have a voice too and a large on at that.

You bet politicians take letters seriously; their political survival depends on it. It's the only way for politicians to know how we, the people, think.

If politicians receive 200 letters per week from animal rights, which is very common since animal rights are avid letter campaign writers, and only 50 – if that much – from hunters guess which side is favoured.;-)

For the pessimists among us. Politicians DO read every single letter they receive, maybe not personally, but letters do get read and the results are passed on. The short of it is that letter writing works and we need to do it or we never will be heard.

Nope! I turned the spell check thingy on my computron on, so whenever I amke a typo, it highlights it. Although I noticed I made a couple on this post so I will elave it there for old time sakes.:mrgreen:


I gotta echo FD...Writing letters is effective and if they are to papers, it makes more people aware of what is going on, too!
