there are grizzly bears up the other end of Harrison, seen one 15 years back. also know a Indian that lives back there that said there are a few silver tips back there.

a guy that i work with said he saw one up there before, thought he was full of it but maybe he was telling the truth.

When I lived up in Squamish,I used to get into the back end of the Elaho Valley on my quad,I seen some moose tracks back there, asked one on the loggers they said a herd works between that valley and the Soo River Valley, sure enough a buddy and I were heading out of the Soo after a trip for deer, a cow moose crossed right in front of the truck, quickly grabbing the regs,no moose season on MU-2,at least they are protected, but all it takes is one poacher.glad to see there is still the odd remanant moose this low in the province, just hope the herd gets built up.

Poaching is always the factor in vulnerable populations-people won't leave them alone long enough to establish a viable breeding herd.A hard winter, accidents or predation is all that it takes to greatly reduce the chances of them establishing a breeding herd

If you go back on the hunting regs, there was moose open in harrison in the 70's and I've seen prints up there before but nothing standing in them.
And ruger is right I've seen one lone grizzly years ago up at the north end of the lake high up on the ridges.

Some folk in the north part of harrison say the moose come from pemberton every year, but they die of lead posioning. Sad. As for Ross lake there are regular sighting now!Grizzlys in harrison? You betcha!
