Activating SPOT Questions

So I bought a SPOT today and have a couple of questions for those of yous who have them.
1. Do you get charged for S&R in bc if it is a legitimate need?
2. Will I need the extra private S&R SPOT offers here in Canada?
3. Did you sign up for the Product Replacement Program in case it is lost or stolen?

1)legitimate and most non legitimate uses of S&R are not charged

2)no..not if you dont get lost..OOPS..no usually any S&R operations last as long as their is any chance @ survival...and survivors..in some instances it does take years to find some situations of lost individuals..some are never found..I personally didnt purchase this option.

3)no I did not sign up for this either..they are not expensive..
