I've been looking at the Kifaru Longhunter but its so darn expensive. Is there any other good packs or should I just start saving?

I don't think you can go wrong with either the Mystery Ranch, or the Kifaru.

As far as the price.....if the pack last 20 years- it's a good investment!

I went with the Kifaru as it was 3 lbs lighter than the Mystery Ranch . . . allowing me to pack a big fat pepper salami! :-D I noticed the latest Kifaru Longhunter is slightly heavier.

Yup Mystery Ranch and Kifaru are the top dogs imho , probably would go with the MR Crewcab and a 6500 bag.

anybody try the Blacks Creek-Canadian? Any thoughts on how it would be for Deer sized critters on 2-3 day trips? Can't afford the Mystery ranch price range..
