Great Chinook Fishing

Chinook fishing is outstanding in the Sooke area and west. Was West this morning and hit 6 kept 2, only the bleeders came on board. But these Chinook are not the same as the ones that have been around for the last 2 weeks, these are upper Fraser's. Nice stubbies. all around 25 lbs. 70 ft on the old school gear. This is way early for these fish.:-P

Yes,I heard the chinooks are in too-is this a return to the early ''spring'' fishing we used to get years ago?Funny-I was just reading the salmon forcast for this year was for a poor early season,but a good late season-August September.Obviously its not an exact science...
