Just got the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir inflatable mattress. This will replace my old faithfull self-inflating Therm-a-rest which, though very comfy, weighed 2 1/2 pounds. This one weighs 14 ounces and is 2 1/2 inches thick. And WAY smaller package!
The first thing I find objectionable is the noise. You move, it crinkles, and quite load. But hey, my buddy snores, so it's revenge.
It's twenty inches wide and seventytwo long. They make a wider, longer one, but I don't need it.
Hopefully I won't have to count sheep to get to sleep this year on the mountain. All my sheep counting will be done through the spotting scope, after a good nights sleep.
Oh yeah, $150 without the stuff sack or repair kit. [..better buy the kit!!]
