Bear Hunting Partner(s) wanted May 15-18

I am looking for a new hunter who would like to get their first bear. I am going to Northern Vancouver Island on the May long weekend. I will leave either Thursday night May 14 or early on May 15. I have all the equipment we will need ie quad, gear, truck, travel trailer to sleep in etc. My 14 year old son is coming as well. He is an experienced hunter having shot a moose, caribou and bison in 2008 and many animals in earlier years. I am going to my favorite spot. Last year I took 2 new hunters from this site with me and they both shot their first big game animal. I will expect you to help out with gas and ferry costs. Let me know if you are interested. No alcohol will be on this trip and I am a non smoker.

Good on you for taking out new hunters. Still trying to get my son his first animal, hopefully it'll be this month. We came close yesterday.

Should be lots of bear out and about. Great place to put a new hunter on a bear and some really big ones at that.

I think that's great that you are taking out a new hunter. I have taken a couple and bears seem to be the animal to get them hooked for life. Good luck out there.

my brother is coming down to Vancouver with his truck (lil '96 B2200) on the May long weekend. if there's anyone who's willing to let us tag along with them to see the area and perhaps bag a bear, it would be great! PM me and we can talk more. :)
