Lingcod and Rockfish early opening in certain areas

Caught me by suprise. Min. length decreased from 65 to 60 too. Might have to go on a seafood safari tomorrow and throw in some traps too. Sunday is hunting day so maybe some surf and turf this weekend:-D.

Ya that's interesting that they reduced the size limit for ling down there Johnny. I read an article somewhere - Pacific yachting maybe and the author's theory was that too many just under sized ling were being caught and released causing people to fish longer and hook more small ling and rock cod too that they had to release. Now its felt folks will get their 60cm ling and call it a day which is better for concervation in the big picture. Whatever the theory is, its nice to here that ling and rockfish are rebounding in the straight. ..
