Wow, what a day!!!
It was 22 and no wind, a rarity on the North Island, so we took advantage of the hot weather and took the dogs to the lake to cool them down.
The two dogs, Sitka, a Chessie who will be 11 in June and Kaza, the Lab, who will be 2 on May 5th had a ball.
The two of them together, with Sitka not wanting to be sitting still as there was water to swim:mrgreen:

Sitka doing what she has been doing best for the past 10 years

and watching as a few geese flew over. (Come on dad, why are you not shooting?? )

Now for the crazy one. Kaza is not a bird dog, she would rather stop and smell all the roses than retrieve:biggrin:....sigh but I have come to accept it.

But she is a dock diver of the first degree, she cannot enter the water gracefully.

She can retieve, but you have to get her very excited

It was a great way to spend an hour and help them cool down a bit.
And, as always, a tired dog is a good dog:mrgreen::wink:
Cheers
