Well , I'm certain MONSTER b-tails eat their horns soon after dropping them ....or maybe you have to watch the wind while hunting for them???...cause I cant find em...:icon_frow...6 hrs today non stop up / down/up / side to side/down.....found 5 ..recent ones were tiny..big ones were from ages ago....

I guess the good thing is the sheds tell that the mega ' heavy' genes are common for the area and my BIG bucks that came from here wasnt just a 'fluke' for size.
I have only shed hunted 2 times now..once last yr and today...the table photo shows what was found....but the 5point horn was found by accident while packing out my best b tail .
I'll post the measurements for Kenny J. for the 5 point.....all the heavy bases in the photo go from 5 3/4" to 51/4".
The measurements for the 5point is base-5 3/4 , other girth measurements , 4 1/2 , 4 1/4 ,4 1/8 the points go 4 , 12 1/4, 7 3/4 , 7 , 23 1/2.....please Great Creator let him be alive  !!!....
Thats it for shed huntin for me!.....not enough patience for it and want to stay outta my spot till Nov......those muley shed hunters make it look easy!!...it aint!

Steve that one 5 point antler that is in good condition he is a big buck ,hope you find him standing in his tracks this fall.

I know what you mean when you say they must eat there antlers after they fall off ,LOL :lol: me and BTS are in the same boat as you ,we looked for hours on end and no luck.

Sometimes I think the island bucks shed there antlers in places so thick that we can't find them ,LOL.

I've never had much luck finding sheds...the only ones I ever find are the ones I trip over. I guess this time of year is the best time, when the snow is freshly melted?
