HI,

I'm planning on purchasing a pair of the Cabelas 800 Gram Leather Ridge boots. I am a size 10 in Nike, does this brand usually fit smaller or larger? Anyone bought a pair of the cabelas boots before? good/bad, I'm on a tight budget..

thanks

Canadian sizes follow U.K. sizing, U.S. is different.
10 Cdn is about an 11 U.S.
The metric sizing is universal.

i will, i do walk a lot when im hunting, ive got no quad, so ill give them a good test when out in the field. boxhitch are you certain on that sizing US and CDN, because I have bought shoes in the states and canada and im always a size 10 for Nikes.

im pretty sure we just go by the u.s. sizes. im a 10 1/2 and i would probably go for an 11 just for the thicker wool socks.

I got some boots from Cabelas and there was a sizing chart that I printed from their site and it worked out just fine. This was on the American site.

I guess if you have always bought the equivalent of a u.s. size, then nothing changes.
shoe and boot boxes have the three sizes marked on sometimes

I'm not familiar with the boot you're looking at but I can tell you that Cabelas looks after their customers very well. Granted, their stuff generally costs a few dollars more, but everything they sell has Cabelas satisfaction guarantee. I've returned waders (after 3 years), boots (after 2 years), scope (4 years) and the list goes on. On a few occasions they even paid for the return shipping.

If you have boot sizing questions, consider calling their customer service dept.

They told me I could send back the boots if they didn`t fit, just don`t wear them outside. You`d probably pay the shipping but I bet they would pay the shipping to send you another size. I called about a broken pack that was two years old and they said they would look at it, ended up with a brand new one and they didn`t charge me a penny.

Sure they have great customer service, but its the shipping that kills any bargains. They don't cover customs charges. X2 for returns and exchanges

I also bought a pair of Cabelas boots years ago, service was great - shipped out in good time but the boots didn't make it through a season, broke down on an elk hunt. Get what you pay for in that field, having said that, I bought a pair of Rocky's as a back up last year and ended up wearing them most of the year, still in decent shape and I have to say that if your on a budget, you can't beat them. Kenetrek when you can afford them is also a good choice.

I bought a pair of the 1000gram cabelas brand boots over a year ago, and have done a lot of hiking/hunting in them. Excellent boot for the money, comfortable, fairly light, nice and warm with 1 pair of wool socks.

I still have them, waterproofing was the first thing to go, then the leather stretched out, when soaked. I wear them around when it's dry out, not a total right off.

i agree with the "get what ya pay for". if you have to buy new boots in a year or two you haven't saved any money at all
