Hey i was wondering if any of you had any experience with backpack gun cradles. I would like to pack my 10/22 with me when deer hunting for grouse and rabbit but i cant find an attachment that is somewhat solid and attaches to a non-framed pack. If any of you know of one that is decent your info would be appreciated

Thanks

Not sure of a specific aftermarket cradle, but I went to a fabric store and got some thick velcro straps and got them sewn up and put onto both sides of my back pack so that I can carry a hatchet on one side and a rifle on the other (or my 12 guage). Haven't tried it out in the field yet, but just walking around the house and outside with my .44 lever action rifle velcroed in seems fine, and it's quick to grab, just a couple tugs on the velcro. I also got some adjustable straps for the bottom to strap my sleeping bag and tent, I guess you could use those types as well if you don't like velcro. Just a suggestion anyway, cost me 20 bucks for everything, including the sewing.

look at the badlands packs, saw them at the outdoors show and the look and feel good, the superday holds a gun or a bow. day pack
