Fiddling with my new camera. Some are a tad blurry as I was out into my DIGITAL ZOOM. Any, " Hey Dumbass" comments on how to take better pics, would be welcomed. Everybody trying to fatten up. I even found some little boys starting to sprout buds.

I was using Canon Powershot SX10 IS. It's got lotsa gizmos on it. I got a long way to go to learn everything. I thought it did pretty decent, those deer weren't all that close.

Cool pics, never saw a thing on the North T today, but got one hell of a sunburn on my face.

The software you got with your camera can do a lot of fixing, such things as contrast, brightness, etc. Give it a try.

Nice shots hotload!
I always love to see photos of deer in the wild.
My camera advice to you is to try a white balance preset other than AUTO. Like try the sunny or outdoor or snow setting if your camera has them (or similar settings by other names).
The proper white balance setting will keep your outdoor photos from looking washed out.
Keep posting those pics!8-)

Pics look good for a rookie!!!! I'm sure in the camera there's a setting for outdoors. My SX2 IS has a whole bunch of presets. I'll bet you have even more. Also the further you zoom the harder to hold still on your topic. A Mono pod/Walking stick would help a lot.
The trick is to try and get the same photo with a few different settings. That way you can see what works and what won't, unfortunately critters usually don't co-operate!!!

Now if you'd kindly take a picture of you bruin friends :smile:
