I went out this morning (4am) to do some preseason scouting for turkeys. They are just starting to call. Not much but wait til the weather warms up in a week or two. There was still a fair amount of snow so it was hard to be quiet when I was walking in to my spot. Has anyone else been hearing or seeing turkeys ?

Contacts in Castlegar, near Trail and Nelson are seeing them everywhere.

Some say they are the up and coming vermin, next to skunks and racoons. Ha!

I know you have the vest & decoys. Now you just need some time. Talk to your sgt. to book a day off and go. I will even give the exact spot where you can get your tom. Call if you still have my phone # or PM me.

Hey Chucky, do you thing your buddies would be willing to share some info ? Im looking for a spot to take my Dad. He is not doing well so any place MUST be a very short and easy walk. Im not asking for any hunny holes just a place we can call in birds.
