Main Duncan Road In The West Kootenays

Does anyone know if the Ducan main road in the west kootenays is open since there has not been any logging activity recently . I would like to go black bear hunting up there any info would be much appreciated thanxs

You could also try the Kootenay Lake District MOF office (250-825-1100). Ask for Ken Haynes, or Tina Zimmerman. There is still a lot of low elevation snow in the west kootenays this year. Not much hope of getting far up the Duncan unless someone has been plowing.
