Just wondering if any of you have seen any blackbears, out in the woods. I know last year they were a bit slow to wake up, and I am wondering if it will be different this year?

A friend of mine came by my house a couple of days ago and showed me a picture he had on his phone of a turd that was longer than his size 13 shoe and almost twice the girth. He took the picture on a trail around Port Coquitlam this week  trophy sized garbage bear I'm thinkin.

Can't blame the bears for not wanting to get out of their fart sack, nothing to eat and ball shrinking cold, AAND Mrs Black Bear wants no part of IT. I'd stay in bed too ...

I was out a couple times last week, but didn't see a one. I was skunked last year, so now I'm twice as horny to nail one this year! Good luck all!

A lady had a run in with a black bear here in town in the local park trails this week. She was walking her two Irish wolfhounds at the time. Apperently the bear didn't like the wolfhounds.....It ran off.

I was out in the woods yesterday for the day, no bears yet.

Cheers

that's interesting, considering that down here we've been hit with more snow this year then a few going back combined.

The areas around hope that i've seen bear sign in are all around 1500ft elevation or so. That means at least 1.5feet of snow still, but probably more.

Does this mean the bears will "sleep longer", or just move down lower as soon as they wake up??
